The Glock catchphrase “ Glock Perfection” says it all. You press the trigger and it goes bang, every darn time, for thousands of rounds if you let it.

I’m not saying you can’t make it more accurate and just as reliable, you can. I’ve done it myself for my unlimited gen4 G22 gun I use in Glock competitions.

I really do not think Glock needs a "custom shop" or "performance center".
Glocks are relatively inexpensive handguns designed to be used pretty hard right out-of-the-box and to keep working reliably as "hand-held bullet launchers" with minimal maintenance.

Also, other members have pointed out, if you ever needs to customize/personalize your Glock, there are more than a few aftermarket "custom shops" out there and various "drop-in" parts readily available. I, for one, modestly customize/personalize every one of my Glocks due to my hand size, physical condition, specific needs, etc. None of the modifications I like to have to my Glocks required any machining or serious "gun smithing work" because they are mere Glocks, after all.

Glock got their start as a military firearm. I think their philosophy has remained the same from the start. Make a pistol as simple, as durable, and as reliable as possible. I do not see a custom shop fitting that philosophy. Take a look at Shadow Systems for a good custom Glock.

Why not a Custom Shop? Because Perfection doesn't require a Custom Shop. You can't improve upon Perfection ... but you can continue to make ongoing revisions and new 'generations'. :p

Besides, the Continental (and each separate one) offers such trinkets.

If someone really yearns for a perfected, custom Glock ... get into 1911's.

Because Glock is a duty pistol company. That’s what they were founded to sell and that is what has been their core purpose since inception. Glock as a firearms company was created with the purpose of selling and making duty pistols for military and law enforcement agencies. A custom shop does not factor into that original purpose. Glock has offered ported slides and barrels, different sights, different grip frame textures, different slide serrations, different light rails and different mag releases. But all in the context of full filling agency contracts mainly.

The thing that makes me laugh is the amount of folks that complain about a Glock Trigger (or any striker for that matter). Because it is a duty type firearm.

Back in the revolver day we were running 12 pound of more double action only trigger pulls. If you were lucky you had a 9 or 10 pound that was slicked up and we shot fine. But folks now are possessed about making a 5 pound trigger pull something it was never ment to be.

If someone wants a true custom gun instead of dumping $$$ in a striker just get a Staccato, Wilson Les Baer or etc.
