That's a hell of an article. Makes me glad I'm not married yet.
It is in decline because for similar reasons as other empires declined.
Just reading the summary, it seems to very close to what's being argued in this video:
If you liked that one you'll probably like this one, too:
Well, if islam wins... that'll straighten right out ......
American society is in decline because America is being run more and more by non-Americans or people born here but acting like anything but Americans.
Read what the article says about British men using Sharia courts in divorces to keep from getting shafted.
Two conflicting conceptions of feminine dignity;
feminism as male-role-envy
Modern neglect of the economic side of marriage;
female attraction to "providers" natural and unchangeable

family as primal form of community
Consequences of "unlimited choice";
reasons for considering marriage an irreversible covenant

Because, for a long time, it seemed the rest of the world wanted to be like us. Now, we are starting to become like the rest of the world. And, if you have never traveled extensively, take it from someone who has, most of the world is a fairly crappy place compared to the United States.
Immigrants used to come here wanting our way of life. They now come here wanting our jobs, and our country, but could care less about adapting our way of life. And, we have leaders (ha!) like Obama preaching that we need to be more like the rest of the world, and tolerant of people coming here who don't want to be like us.
In fact, we are made to feel guilty, called racists, and worse, if we want immigrants (and their offspring now) to adapt the American way of life.
When people started calling us racist and intolerant and bigoted for wanting to make immigrants adapt our way of life, and our culture, and to think of themselves as American-Americans first, and we started believing there was something wrong with us for demanding that, it was the starting point of the beginning of the end.
