How come when you go to write a new post (or new thread, whatever), the system automatically inserts a few spaces before where the I-beam cursor gets put in the Message field? I don't think these spaces show up once you post the message, but I wonder why it puts them there and it bugs me and causes me to delete them before typing every time. Guess I'm just OCD, but I can't help it. ;)

You're right, the space doesn't show up if you leave it there. I just leave the space there and don't worry about it. There was a thread about this a few weeks ago, but no answer as to why it started happening. It started a month or two ago. http://www.glocktalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=230537

Yeah, I never got an answer but it doesn't affect anything so I just ignore it now.

    No worries, mon.

I thought it was 'just me' it was happening to and assumed it was something totally related to 'user density' on my end. :)

In those two spaces, new software compression algorithms are being used to spy on you. If you highlight the two spaces, then press alt-ctrl-del at the same time (PC systems) you will purge the spyware. :)

I did that and nothing happened.

ctrl-alt-backspace kills my X server, though, but ctrl-alt-delete does nothing unless I'm in text mode, then it pops up, "You idiot, what do you think you're on, a WINDOWS box?"

    Hmmmm
