I have a G17 and an a G26. How can I justify the Gen4 G19 in OD that I think I need?
The G17 is WAY too big to conceal carry, the G26 is too wimpy and doesn't hold enough rounds. G19 all the way!!!
There definitely seems to be some serious mojo associated with the 19. It's like the killer app. of Glock 9mm's or something. Nice all around package of everything, size, capacity, comfort, etc, etc. There roughly half an inch less bbl. than the 17, right? Anybody have ballistics data across all three pistols?
You need it because it is the most popular Glock around.
... Agreed.... plus G19 is a perfect blend between G17 & G26 as far as 9mm goes.
You should have got G19 first and that would have saved you a ton of money (instead of buying the G17 & G26) to buy more ammo & accessories for G19.
In addition to doing it's full share
The 19 does half of what the 17 does and also half of what the 26 does
SOOOO-the 19 does 200% and the other two are slackers
You've got "Papa Bear" and "Baby Bear".....Gotta have "Momma".....
Got my first Glock today. Care to guess which one?
No doubt the 19 is awesome and I'm already a fan of the Gen.4 and I know I will be getting one when they become available.
i didnt think there were gonna be any OD g4s
I'm in the same boat .Have a 26 and 17RTF2 ,,Must have a 19 Gen4 ,,problem is waiting for it
Its conceals comfortably and hold 15 rounds. You get the best of both worlds.
Was O.D. a bit of a lark for Glock? Anyone think it will be offered in the Gen4?
justifiable because you don't have one. When i bought mine, i shot it, and when cashing out at the range, bought the other one just like it. You can't have too much of a good thing.
You can also look at it as buying 2 new overpriced 15 round magazines for your G26 that come with a free glock....
I see no reason to mess with a Gen 4.
I just picked up a mint 2nd Gen G19, uberperfection!
There are a few threads out there about the Gen 4 G17s malfunctioning,
looks like "limp-wristing". Guess that issue will never go away!
That's my opinion,.......others MAY vary!
Because you want it........
You need it because its the perfect size not to big not to small with good capacity and proven man stopping power in the 9mm which is the perfect common round to use. Its right for combat,HD,ccw and crisis pistol in civil breakdown. Get a few holsters one owb and one iwb and 4 mags and at least 300rds of good hp ammo.
I have a Crossbreed for my G26. It won't fit my 17, or 19 should I procure one, without a little trimming, though. They formed the Kydex around the muzzle slightly, preventing a longer slide to pass through. It could be modified by trimming or maybe even heat.
Does anyone have ballistics for the different 9mm bbl. lengths? Looks like roughly half an inch lost between each, 17 to 19 to 26?
just get it.. i already have an XD-9 compact and thought i would never grab a G19... yep, i sure did grabbed me one..
Don't know about that. The G19 I have fits just nice in the G26 crossbreed. In fact the only difference is a touch more leather when Crossbreed makes a holster for the G19's. That's right from Crossbreed when i asked the question.
Hey? Might be just me..........
