I have G17 full cap mags with glock extensions. the ones I have bought over the last couple years all hold 20 rounds.

the ones I just bought from glockmeister hold only 19. glock has changed the follower...the old ones I have are 9mm3 the new ones are 9mm5 and look much different.

called glockmeister, they dont understand it either and dont have any of the old followers.

    any ideas?

Possibly older non-metal lined mags with older extensions?

New metal lined mags are 17 round, with new +2's, == 19 rounds.

both my old and new are FML...my old are 3rd gen mags, these new ones are 4th gen mags. exact same part numbers on the glock +2s. in the 3rd gen mags it is actually a +3 add on while now it is only +2 . glock has changed the tube, follower and spring in these new 4th gen models...the question is why? is there something wrong with the way they were doing it?

I only get 17 in mine. Count yourself lucky, I guess.

Your springs are probably wore out.

They are designed to hold only 19.
Stuffing them with 20 will result in failures sooner or later.

The G17 mags are only supposed to be loaded with 17 rounds, unless you have a +2 on it...then you only...well, add 2 rounds.
If you are stuffing more than that into your weapon, you are asking for trouble, and maybe in more ways than just spring failure. It could also cause the mags to expand from the added pressure on it and the springs, and cause it to hang in the weapon when you are trying to reload in an emergency situation, etc.

Check out the specs on capacity, and it tells you

I'd bet the insert that locks the extension in place isn't seated correctly. Unless you have a whole bunch of 'em that are one short.
