Mods were worried readers would fall asleep.
Yes, it's legal to ship your guns to yourself in another state as long as they adhere to state law.
I've shipped pistols to myself at hotels in the past. Did it several times last year.
I don't know what was done but keep in mind you are asking a firearm shipping question in a forum that is to discuss glock pistols. I would imagine their is a proper forum to be asking generalized questions
Outdoor Hub mobile, the outdoor information engine
Maybe it was a non-Glock specific question.
Explanation as to why a thread was closed is typically not given.
Asking why a thread was closed is a near certain way to get another one closed.
Q: May a nonlicensee ship firearms interstate for his or her use in hunting or other lawful activity? Yes. A person may ship a firearm to himself or herself in care of another person in the State where he or she intends to hunt or engage in any other lawful activity. The package should be addressed to the owner. Persons other than the owner should not open the package and take possession of the firearm.
Note: Took about 15 seconds to find using Google
Sometimes things are predictable...
Yeah, I don't think asking about SHIPPING a Glock qualifies.
I certainly know that opening a thread, to ask why a thread got closed, is the #1 no no. Look for this one to be closed shortly as well.
Whenever I see a thread title, "Why did my thread get pulled, etc. etc." it rings a sour note (sorry). The answer is because it was. This is a free forum, there is no guarantee of satisfaction, the mods are in charge and do a good job, their concern is what's best for the forum not for the poster, and they need not provide a public explanation. Certainly you are within your rights to ask offline but for the most part, the readers don't really care why unless it was a subject of universal interest.
