Homeowner finds intruder asleep in bed By Associated Press, 8/27/2002 08:35 BLUE HILL, Maine (AP) A homeowner was startled to discover a man asleep in his bed and wearing nothing but his daughter's pink underwear. The episode unfolded Friday night when a Blue Hill man determined that someone had used his shower and then found Matthew Williams sleeping in his bed, said Deputy Corey Bagley of the Hancock County Sheriff's Department. After being awakened, Williams hopped out of bed, leapt through a window and fell 10 feet to the ground, Bagley said. Williams ran into the woods wearing only an ill-fitting pair of panties that belonged to the homeowner's daughter, Bagley said. Williams was intoxicated when police found him hiding in bushes, the deputy said. Williams, who was on probation and wanted in Oxford County on charges of failure to appear in court and failure to pay fines, was arrested on a charge of burglary, Bagley said Monday.
