It won't be long now.................who plans to be there?
DEJ/FL and I plan on being there. Hope to arrive Friday evening, shoot Saturday and head back to Florida Sunday morning.
I'm driving up from Laredo to shoot it ... going to try and get a subcompact this week so I can enter 4-5 divisions. Oh and build an open glock between now and then as well ... hmmm family comming for turkey day ... not much time there!
This "old boy" from Florida will be there Saturday, shooting MasterStock, Major Sub and Unlimited.
See ya on the range,
Darn I am going to miss the trip again. Sorry!
I will be there. Not sure if I will shoot the sub or not as the only sub I have is a 39. We'll see.
The G39 can be shot in the Subcompact using the G37 mags and the Major Sub limited to a total of 7 rounds MAX in the gun.
OK, finally got all parts needed to do the unlimited w/ a G17 Put it together today at the office in between seeing patients lol! I am way too excited to see if it shoots.
KKM threaded match barrel w/ S&J major comp
Glockmeister optic mount w/ rail & Aimpoint dot (had the aimpoint already ... will eventually go to carver mount & cmore)
Tungsten guide rod w/13 lb spring - have 11 if needed
DP Ice heavy mag well
Pic of above G17 open major 9mm
Your Open Gun looks great. FYI, we offer an Aimpoint model on our "very popular" CARVER Competition mount. Later, if you decide to change to a CMore sight, you will only need to buy a CMore base and change out the Aimpoint base to the CMore base.
Good luck competing with your new rig.
I'll be there. Might go by in the afternoon on Saturday but definitely Sunday.
Dr. Kyle - Rivercityshooter's Kyle?
See you all.
Well, I had a good time. I shot my 19 and 39 yesterday in Amateur Civilian and Amateur Subcompact and then today shot my 37 in Amateur Competition. Overall I had fun which was most important. I also realized I can shoot my GAP guns better than 9mm.
Yup Glen that is me!
Thanks for the info on the mount... I fully intend to go to a cMore on your mount in the future. I took this aimpoint off my AR and threw it on. It ran pretty well. I liked it. I definitely need practice w/it! (57.67 overall time - doesn't cut it!)
How does the scoring of the plates go? Are all 4 runs scored or do they drop the worst and count the best 3? Or is that just wishful thinking? lol
We'll see how the scores come out ... I hope the scores are like the last 2 years - if so I should have at least one gun!
Had 1 sub 3 second run on the plates 2 in the 3's and a 4.11 (couldn't find the dot!)
That was fun, but chilly in the morning - Sunday. Glad I dug my long johns out of the draw.
Chris Edwards is a real gentleman and I enjoyed talking to him.
The plates were fun. Didn't drop a round even on the far targets.
The only bad thing is realizing I'm now in the senior categories - even though that gets you a discount at Marble Slab.
Hubby and I went. He's shot IDPA before, this was his first GSSF match. I've -never- competed before, so I let him shoot each stage ahead of me to see what I needed to do. Not sure how I did, will have to wait until the official scoring comes out.
We were there at 2pm yesterday. Had I not been sick for weeks prior, we would have been out early Sunday instead of late afternoon.
Rather fun, so I'll be accompanying him to an Action Pistol match up in Copperas Cove this weekend as well.
Hey anyone know the time line for posting of the scores after a match? I don't remember from last year how long it took.
San Antonio scores are up.
