I seriously doubt Glock ever will, but I'm kind of surprised that Ruger hasn't given it a shot.
Ruger did just come out with a new 22/45 that has grips that can interchange with any Govt. sized 1911.
I somehow doubt Glock'll ever release a 1911.
I would guess that Ruger has cast someone's frames already.
glock making a 1911 is like a liberal supporting the second amendment, it'll never happen
My G22 will wear out before Glock decide to make 1911 line.
I think Glock should come out with a polymer 1911 that looks like a Glock for the most part but is still a 1911 with a 1911 grip angle and what not. I would love that because it would pi$$ off all the Glock Hating 1911 loving loons out there.
I would not be surprised to see Ruger have one really soon. They already came out with their own AR.
That does happen. I know a couple.
I would love to see a Ruger 1911.
I would as well and chances are they probably will.
Glock on the other hand will probably never make anything other than Glocks, but if they did they would sell all they could make.
Didn't we already hear rumors about Ruger introducing a 1911?
I know Remington and Magnum Research announced 1911's but I thought Ruger did too. I could be mistaken though.
Nor any part of the US Constitution.
Glock making a 1911 would be like putting Brembos on a Toyota
It's amazing how someone who's been here for 10 minutes can make such unfounded, inaccurate, foolish, baseless, absurd statements.
Lotsa competition in the 1911 building area. I think Glock is sticking with what brung em to the game. Sig's didn't tun out well. S&W's are OK. The market is over saturated.
How could it look like a Glock and still be a 1911?
It DOES happen.
First off...Ruger is already tooling up for a 1911. Secondly, Glock isnt going to do anything but sit on the same basic design and continue to change grip textures, etc.
