Dude Spam is cool. If you ever lived in Alaska it was a staple camping item. Just like a good hotdog or burger, sometimes you gotta let go and enjoy life.

Spam is a luxury food in South Korea.

Guam is apparently the largest consumer of Spam from what I just read.

Spam is big in Hawaii. New Hawaiian restaurants around here serve it.

I grew up eating it. Dad and I lived off Spam Ana white bread at the lake when away from mom. Dad don’t cook. Spam fried in a skilled with mayo and Tabasco sandwiches.

I don’t touch it now. Don’t eat Chef Boyardee, Beenie Weenies, Vienna sausages or any other “dads night to cook” stuff either.

I doubt I would have a taste for it these days. I no longer eat any processed stuff.

Just occasionally I will eat some Sardines packed in Lousiana hot sauce and crackers.

I hated it as a kid but I love it now. A fried Spam sandwich is great . Also love it with fried potatoes and scrambled eggs all mixed together .

I love Spam. I prefer the Low Sodium one. I'm not on salt restriction, I just like it better.

Question: Is it a Maui thing, or do all of the other Hawaii islands relish spam too?
I ran into the box lunches with spam variations at the groceries in Lahaina and found that the locals loved it. Tried them myself and found it to be quite tasty. But, my only experience is on Maui, hence my question.

I was deprived as a child I guess, never ate SPAM.
Tried some recently and found I haven't missed anything great. Too salty for my taste.
