Im wondering who shot the best G37 score this year & what was it?

And I'm wondering - how do you shooters in the 60 - 70 - 80 second range feel about the 37 and the light & gamey 45 gap loads -

versus a Glock with powder puff 9mm or 40 loads?

    Rusty,
Although I'm nowhere near the 80-60 second range I did manage a 106.04 at Hallsville,Mo in AM/CIV and a 117.79 in Comp. Both where good enough for 10th. If I hadn't scored (2) fives on the 25 yd target on my first string of the 5-To-Glock I would have had a 96.04 (4th in Am/Civ)instead.;Q

Check with Bobby, he's had a couple of good matches with his 37. He had a 58.92 at Hallsville.

Whenever the G37 raffle goes away is anybody planning on staying with the GAP in GSSF (despite brass cost) or are you going back to the 9 or 40?

I know I didn't shoot the best score with the G37 (61.xx) but my stock scores have improved this season. I attribute this to two things, switching to a Bo-mar rear site and also using the .45 GAP.

There is something about the G37 that is so nice to shoot and almost 'forgiving' even when I don't shoot it well. The Kentucky match this weekend was the end of my season so now I have time to experiment but right now I'm planning on sticking with the 37 for stock next year.

One thing I'm thinking about doing is building an Unlimited gun using a G37 for next year. I know others have already done this so it's not new but I have some ideas I'd like to try.

The other name to look at for the best G37 score would be Kircchoff. I think he was using a G37 for some of the matches this year.

I shot an 84.10 at Statesville this year with a completely stock 37(sights and all) and WW ball ammo. I don't think Mr. Carver is shaking in his boots just yet! ;f

I really like the 37, but I don't like loading those mags. Hopefully they can work on that in the near future.

Yes, he was using a stock G37 I think from St. Paul match on. In the master stock class.

Since I have been shooting the G37, my stock score average has remained the same as it was when I was shooting my old First Generation G17. My first match with the G37 yielded a 56.67 in Stockmeister and I've shot a couple in the 50's since. I've found that the G37 is consistently more accurate than the G17 and I like the weight and its feel. My only regret regarding the G37 is the expense of the brass and the availability of the brass. In my opinion, the G37 will be here to stay as a competitive and defensive tool.

I knocked down the pseudo rack of 6 plates in 5.27 seconds with the G37 at Topton. Does that count?
