I need to replace the mags that came with my kimber, Who makes the best mags?
Wilson Combat and Chip McCormick are probably the best two. I prefer Wilson Combat ETM.
Chip McCormick are usually my go to mags. Mecgar as well. I've never tried wilson
You can't beat Wilson Combat mags IMO.
Thanks I ended up ordering chip McCormick brownell's was out of stock on Wilson's
CM is good. The WC mags have plastic followers that get chewed up.
Chip McCormick mags are now owned by Bill Wilson.....so......
Nothing to argue with other than Mecgars were not working for me
Wilson, but Chip McCormick are also good and cheaper and Mec-Gar are cheapest of all and usually 100%.
Wilson Combat are great, albeit expensive, I use them for EDC mags. Chip McCormick are great mags I’ve used for years and never had an issue with, ever. Metalform, Mecgar, and Check Mate have all been cost effective range mags that I’ve had no issues with over the last few years.
I’ve used all of these brands in 9mm, 38 Super and 45acp.
The 7-round Metalform ones have worked in my 1911s.
Besides Wilson ETMs I also use Springfield's 7 rounders. I think they're Mec-Gars. They are 100% and only around $15.
I mostly use Springfields that came with my Range Officers.
I think Tripp Cobra mags are the best of the best, personally
