    ....Thomas Magnum!

I just obtained the first 4 seasons of the show and have been watching them all day. I really think this was one of the best shows ever. I wish I could have been around back then during that awesome era. I like seeing all the old cars in the show.

I used to watch that show. Now I watch NCIS and used to watch JAG, I have the distinct impression that Donald Bellisario actually likes America and aside from that TC and Rick were good supporting cast members. Tom Selleck is NRA and a National Guard Vet, much cooler than watching anti gun libtards pretend to be patriots.

I did enjoy that show when I was a kid. There was a time when I would of sold my soul for a red Ferrari 308.

I got seasons 1 and 3..the first episode of season 3 "did you see the sunrise" was IMO the best Magnum episode ever. Thats the one where Ivan comes back Mac gets blown up in Magnums Ferrari and the show ends on Magnum setting up a accident for Ivan.. Ivan gets out of his car while enroute to the airport to get out of country scott free..magnum comes out Ivan gets out of car..Ivan says magnum you cant shoot me in cold blood its against your sense of fair play...sure you could do it if I had a gun but like this you cant...he then turns to leave and Magnum says....Ivan did you see the sunrise this morning...Ivan says why yes it was spectacular you hear Magnums .45 1911 go BOOM right as the screen goes black..best ever.

One of my MOST favorite shows ever. I was just a kid at the time, but his Ferrari was the first car I ever fell in love with. But, like CBennett said, I could probably afford a mint condition one now but the up-keep would kill me.

And how about the guns in that show?? Magnum's Government 1911....TC's 6 inch .357 Magnum...and somehow Rick always laid his hands on Uzis.

I've gotta get the DVDs. I do have a b-day coming....

    Robin 1 forever!

    Cheers!

    they are cheap now

MPI was my favorite show back 'then'. I use the Thomas Magnum theory of handgun use where a GI 1911 will solve any firearm-related issue I might come across.

Yes, the Magnum P. I. series was the series everyone watched, probably because it was really the only thing worth watching. After a while, it grows on you. I was in high school during that time. Higgins really made it quite funny.

Selleck, is a great guy by all accounts. That show probably made his career. I also kind of like his westerns, Daybreakers, Sackets etc.
