Did anybody watch "The Killing" last night on AMC?

I don't know about you, but it kept dragging on and on. I was getting bored out of my gourde watching it. Last season was really pretty good but I was disappointed with the start of season 2. Not sure I want to watch the rest of the season.

I do. I thought the episodes last night was pretty good. I didn't get bored, but it probably helped that I had the 'peanut gallery' next to me on the coach providing color commentary.

Wife and I watch it. It is way too slow for me. I'm about to bail on it honestly.

Haha - thats what everybody says. They don't know if they will hang around but I still see them in the chat room same time next week.

I thought the opening 2 episodes were good, laying the groundwork for the upcoming season. You have to pay attention, its not a "throwaway" show like Hawaii-50 or whatever. You invest some time and thought in it and then go into the chatroom and follow the discussion which is most of the fun.

Right now, looks like a conspiracy with ties to the Mayor's office did Rosie in - with a little help from some dirty cops. I don't count Holder as dirty - he took shortcuts and got played. Now he has to win Linden's trust back.

For me, it seemed to drag on. Just a lot of driving around in the rain (I could never live in Seattle), trying to get meaningful information but only get bits and pieces of it here and there and then more driving around, and the whole plot last night seemed to jump around all over the place and became confusing. They need to pick up the pace with some more drama in it. I like the show but it is one of the dreariest, depressing shows I've ever watched.

I stuck it out first season, trying to get into it, but when the season ended I found I was just relieved. Never gave it a thought since.

Keeping up with all the comments and making it interactive just seems to add to the experience.

Watched all the episodes last season and recorded the season premier yesterday. I watched 5 minutes of it and deleted it. It barely held my interest last year but it's just too slow and dreary. I no longer care who killed Rosie Larsen.

I look forward to every episode. Dreary suits my personality. I will say that DVR helped get through the two hours.

I like it alright. The series is decent, but nowhere near Mad Men or Breaking Bad. Crime shows are boring garbage, anyway (CSI, Law & Order), so I don't blame the producers for falling a bit short. In fact, I give them props for making a series about a single murder as interesting as they have.

It looks like Rosie was sidebar to a bigger plot, and I think more people are going to die throughout the season.

I thought season 1 was awesome. This season's start seems a little slow, but I'm betting it will pick up. I just hope we have the mystery solved by the end of this season.

I'm still in. Just finished season 1 on Netflix before the start of 2.

Why doesn't the woman detective turn in her crook male partner? Or has she?

I don't think she can. It's a conspiracy that he's a part of and the higher-ups are in it too and have to protect him to protect themselves. She's trying to prove what really happened and, I'm sure, she'll find enough evidence between now and the season end to expose the conspiracy. Problem is, it's going to take the whole season for it to happen so each episode until then will be this back and forth, around and around plot that just drags on and will bore me to death. They've got to pick up the pace by about 10 notches.
