I don't care at all and if I'm wrong that sea water is gonna make steam as it flows through the desert west of Tucson anyway. So it ain't going to make it to Cochise County.

I can't make a measurable difference. That will take action by the governments of the majority of developed nations and pressure on the undeveloped nations.

The changes I can make will only effect me and my family.

I know I won't retire in S Florida. And, sell the homes before there is an impact on real estate.

I've spent some time already looking for inland lakes to retire to.

Considering that many who pushed the theory have gone out and purchased ocean front property....

What does it matter? Even if the U.S. band fossil fuels tomorrow, does anyone REALLY believe man would stand a chance against nature’s will???

Not to mention the fact that the other 90% of the world would STILL be using these fuels!!!!!

The whole argument is as inane as it is circular. -And they say that WE abandoned science?!?!

In FL at 16 feet. Don’t care and it is what it is. If FL goes underwater it will make for some cool diving and I will move. The climate has been changing for a long time. Fossil fuels didn’t kill off the dinosaurs.

True. I grew up close to the beach. Every time a hurricane came through, beach homes (usually 2nd homes) would get damaged. The insurance companies would pay out to repair or rebuild them, and raise everyone's rates to compensate. Would happen time and time again.

Wife and I were on the Outer Banks one Thanksgiving week, and got a real estate agent to show us around. Looked at a very nice house on a road one road and row of houses away from the beach. The magic went away when I asked the agent how long it would take for that house to become beachfront property.

If you're asking relative to "climate change ", I couldn't care less.

Climate is constantly changing. That's what it does.

I think it's the height of arrogance to think that humans can control it one way or another, short of something like nuclear winter.

    Just my $.02. YMMV.

The ONLY reason that their "global warming & climate change" exists, is ONLY because somebody is making alotta money off from it.

IIRC John Stossel? Just found it https://abcnews.go.com/Business/Insurance/story?id=94181

I didn’t read it again. But IIRC you get super cheap insurance to build in areas you clearly shouldn't build.
Thing is there are MANY government programs like this. I was a adjuster for one. I was instructed to be extremely generous.
Even so I found fraud. And in a couple cases encouraged to pursue it. I really wanted to go to that auction. But common sense prevailed. Not wise after multiple threats to go on property where they have to sell almost everything.....

Let it flood. Just say I know a guy. Scientist. Has real world cred. He knows the climate is changing. But not for the BS reasons we are being told. The truth is cyclical and deep below us. No one will publish his work anymore.

I've lived along the shore of Connecticut my whole life and I have yet to see any evidence of "sea level rise". Sure, I've seen plenty of erosion caused by water / tides / storms, but nothing to show the sea is rising.

Places have been flooded by high tides and especially storm tides since forever.
