Wanting factory night sights. I keep seeing people talk about them for 50-60 bucks. Where are people getting these sights for this price? Anyone?

Folks are sending their slides to Glock in Smyrna, GA. I believe the price is $57.00 installed. Call 1-770-432-1202 and ask for Warranty Service.

but arent you required by fedex to ship it priority overnight for like 70 bucks to them? Would that not offset the savings offered by glock?

What makes you think you'd have to send it in priority?

If you send the slides only, its not considered a "firearm" and can be sent in a flat rate box or whatever.

Just from what I have read on here. Many posts stated you must send it priority overnight because it's considered dangerous goods. To the person above, that's a good idea to circumvent the cost. So if you just send the slide, you don't have to claim its dangerous goods and can be sent however you like?

you only have to ship priority/overnight if you send the receiver. Just ship the slide.

This is part of the warranty return form I got from Glock. They don't classify what they consider to be a firearm or not but I believe, like a previous poster, the slide stripped down itself would not be considered a firearm. Just give Smyrna a call.

The more important thing to note is the turnaround time. 2-4 weeks. Thats a long time to wait for just sights to be installed. I would just order sights and get them installed locally, but hey that is just me. Your gun, your decision.
