I want one and am hearing Ciener is crap. Whats the best out there??
Ive heard some good things about Spikes Tactical conversion kit
Cieners are not crap! Most of the others are copies of the Ciener except for the M261 types.
I have a Ciener and a M261 kit and like them both.
I also have a Ciener kit for a 1911 and like it as well.
Well I see LOTS of reviews of terrible customer service and very poor operation from the Ciener units...I don't want to go down that road at all.
I bought a Ciener conversion unit from Midway last year when they had them on sale for $139. Then I bought a 2nd one for a buddy of mine.
They both are running great.
But there are a lot of stories of poor customer service from Ciener. Just check the BBB for his area. They won't even take anymore complaints about him.
Either the Spikes or CMMG kits are pretty much copies of the Ciener kit.
You can get the CMMG kit for $169 with 3 hi-cap mags from Palmetto State Armory (they have a banner ad here on GT)
In Before The WFP!!!!!
Ceiner is supposedly a great item. Until you have a problem. Then the customer service isn't.....
I have seen one that is not a copy and looks nothing like Ciener or others. Can't remember the brand though.
The major complaint with Ceiner is with customer support or trying to get your money back on a return or if he fails to ship what you ordered.
Bought a CMMG kit when they first came out and have shot several thousand rounds through it without issue. Good kit, the Spike's Tactical kit also looks nice. Get extra magazines and a thumb loader (Black Dog Machine sells both) and plink away.
I got a Tactical Solutions AR-22 M4 dedicated 22LR upper. It is outstanding. Here's a picture.
I have a Spike's kit and am shickled titless with it! Great fun!
