When was your 23C test fired?
1 G19 gen 4
1 G22 RTF w/GILLS
I have a G17 RTF2 with Gills with serial # prefix of PEW that according to Glock was imported Feb. 4, 2010.
Picked this one up today
Carrying the RTF Gill Glock 19. Right off the bat, the texture is so rough, it rubs your side/tee shirt.
Out came the dremel, ground it to bits, basically the left side is smooth, I also ground some bits off, here and there.
It is my go to spare if my Gen4 G19 has any work required (as in sending slide back for new inserts for my TruGlow fiber optics).
Cost me the shipping, plus a check for $12-50, shipped back to me free. WOW, so bright now.
My second finger was hurting from contact with the magazine release, on my G 19 4th Gen, the corner dug into my finger!
Sharp knife, sliced that corner off! Fixed.
Ouch...lets see some pics.
That's a vickers gen 4 mag catch. They are designed like that.
Designed to hurt your second finger? Slice that sharp corner off!
You said that you had a problem with the standard Gen 4 mag catch. I was pointing out that the Vickers catch I have in the pic is rounded, and not a standard catch that apparently you had an issue with.
I don't have problems with the catch and I also don't have a problem carrying a RTF2 everyday.
My G22 RTF born on July 14, 09 NMKxxx, gills, stillin box unfired (except factory). Mybrother has my G19 RTF may not see it again, well used by now.
For about a year now I've been using this holster to protect me from my daily carry G19 RTF2. It does the job and it's cheap at $15.
It makes me cringe when I hear of folks grinding the texture off.
My 17 RTF2
And my glock family (I have 6 more still on order too)
Gen3 21 OD green, Gen 4 17 OD green (looks fde to me), G3 17 RTF2, Gen4 21, Gen4 19.
Nice family, and a good photo.
Thanks I ordered a G4 17, 19, 21 in OD and FDE. but only my 17 showed up today. I also think im going to get a 26 for the fun of it.
Sorry about my desecration of my RTF Glock 19, but to me it is just a gun. Your holster would not suit me, you have to unsnap it! My every day carry is a Gen 4 Glock 19, with TruGlo fiber optic night sights, just had the green fiber strips replaced, they last a couple of years at full brightness, were still bright in daylight, but dimming in the dark.
After totally stripping my Gen 4 down, to clean it, it developed a little click in the trigger (some gunk in the firing pin channel?) so I am back to the RTF. Will fix it when I can.
They both work flawlessly. My Son owns a Security Company, I work the odd hour for him, so in uniform, complete with radio, IDPA speed holster. But normally a cut down Glock holster, under a shirt, for every day carry.
The Glock selections I see lined up here, very nice. Mine are working guns. Live in a holster, or as now, on the night table. Still love my Glocks.
I hate to see it, but I will survive.
It is just a gun, and a Glock is more of an appliance than others.
As for my holster, it's cheap but not ideal. Truly the best I've found is made by N8 Squared.
I added another G23C RTF2 to the stable today. This one is in perfect unfired condition.
where did you find it? how much it set you back?
I have a 19RTF2 for trade if someone has a Ruger PC9 FTF virginia
