Tomorrow would be the perfect day for civil division to serve the eviction papers on the UN at their house in New York.

Here's an idea. Perhaps Sec-Gen Ki-moon can export some Americans to the rest of the world... just like Castro did with Cubans during the Mariel boatlift?

That would certainly raise his standing in my eyes.

I like being a free citizen. Therefore, light blue hats are incompatible with me.

The UN to start out with was probably a good idea. Unfortunately they have largely become favourable for those nations that have poor human rights records, and are hosts to radical Islam. The USA never had a need for the UN, except to accomplish whatever security could be accomplished. There are other organizations out there that are good for people in the areas of health care, helping in the areas of food provision, and what have you, without the need for an international governmental organization. The UN if we are to continue to have a part in it should be curtailed to an international organization that has not power in the area of governance, to only be in an advisory capacity for anything that they do. They should not be able to have peace keepers or any other type of armed forces access of their own, nor should they have a world court. Give them time and they will one day actually affect a world wide government, and in fact already have made efforts to do so.

I think it's time for the UN to move to Jerusalem, overlooking the Jordan River.

    That would be nice.

Absolutely not!! You do know that many within the UN are now a days anti Israel?

Hack, the UN was never a good idea. It was Wilson's League of Nations turned into a bureaucratic nightmare. Now they are like any other government agency, creating layer upon layer of inefficiency to justify their own existence.

We pay the UN a ton of money that goes nowhere. We could do so much for our own citizens with that money. We don't need a world government, especially one paid for by us.

Oh absolutely what a waste of U.S. $$$.

I understand the UN is looking to build a new HQ building in NYC. But now that Libya is free, perhaps the UN would like to build their new headquarters overlooking the shores of Tripoli?

Why are they here? It's not like they give us any deference or respect.

Commercial plaza, great location, plentiful parking, some tank tread damage, blood stains will wash out on asphalt, lease at below market prices!

How 'bout Sana'a, Yemen. Supportive local population and nobody give's a rat's butt if diplomats double park all over this craphole.

I say congo or any of the crap holes in africa? The UN loves being there and the law breaking diplomats fit right in with the local politicians.
