I would like holster suggestions and IWB or OWB suggestions. Any additional upgrades to make it a great EDC, like trigger or sights.

Aiwb I like a T. Rex raptor. Ankle carry as a BUG I use a galco ankle glove. I love the g27.

Prepare for others, specifically mike m to suggest you put a 357 sig barrel in it.

Also prepare for the inevitable “don’t modify it, it’s Glock Perfection....”

But Glock night sights are cheap and they work. That’s all I’ve done to my carry guns.

I did EDC a 27 for many years until my 43 finally knocked it off it's perch.

For holsters with both guns, I stick with Cook's brand for kydex and Remora for a soft holster. Anyone that says you can't keep a gun's finish looking good with kydex has never used Cooks.

For sights, I use Meprolight green front, yellow rear on my Glocks. My eyes are older and I prefer the distinct colors. Also, their front blade leaves enough space for my older eyes to see well. Trigger? I leave them stock. With enough use, mine have smoothed out enough for my use.

I recently took a picture of that Cook's holster. (Not affiliated, just a happy, repeat customer)

The finish on this is after a year + of carry. Well over 1000 holster presentations. And yes, I'm a lefty.

ETA: I also use the Glock brand sport/combat holster for OWB. Pretty comfortable and keeps the gun pretty close to the body.

I love trijicon hd sights. A friend of mine gave me a Vickers extended slide release to try on my nibx g23.4. Makes no difference to me. I put new sights on mine and then shoot the heck out of them. Minimum 200 rounds a week for the first couple months I own them.

I sometimes carry one, but usually keep it in my truck and carry a Glock 43. The only change made to either of them is TruGlo TFO sights.

Would you recommend me putting at least 200 rounds down for range time?

That’s entirely up to your time and your ammo budget. That is just how I treat my new auto loaders for the first couple months of their life with me. If I end up deciding to carry that gun after it’s proven itself worth, I continue shooting it weekly to maintain proficiency with it.

It helps having a back yard range with lots of steel and barriers to use etc.

My main summertime carry. Amazing how many Glock pistol owners have never tried Glock’s own Sport Combat Holster. It may not be your perfect holster, but that’s how all my six Glocks get carried. Everyday. (Don’t carry all six everyday.) And for about $15.00 online? Tough to beat.

I pocket carry that chunky sucka, believe it or not. It works fine in my cargo shorts and Dockers, just not jeans. Then I carry my G42.

The G-27 has been my standard CCW for over a year now. I mostly carry it in a Galco Combat Master OWB but, occasionally, like today when wearing a light T-shirt, an Alien Gear IWB. A 15 round mag resides in my left front pocket when I feel a reload may be required.
