which magwell would you guys suggest for a glock in idpa esp?
None. IDPA is about stock pistols, none of that fancy do dah crap.
Now for USPSA, who knows.. I shoot USPSA for training not for sport so I think the peeps who trick their guns out are crazy.
I carry and compete with tricked out guns, I must be insane or something.
Anyway, the THE Aluminum magwell will fit the box with minor trimming on the heel of the mw, and it is the best mw available for the small frame glocks.
I really like the one from JP enterprises. You can get them from Brownells.
If your just shooting IDPA, you are wasting you money on a magwell. (of course I never waste money;f ;f )But if you are shooting other sports where you want one go for it, as long as your having fun. However, be forwarned that at some of the clubs I shoot at, guys that have tricked out guns even if they "fit in the box" get funny looks and usually some ribbing. It is not in the "spirit of the game" they say. Which IMO is to use a carry type gun with carry holsters.
I like the one from J.P Enterprises as well.
IDPA is about stock pistols, none of that fancy do dah crap.
You better read the rules some of "that fancy do dah crap" is allowed.
FWIW, you reload a lot more at a major IDPA match than you would shooting Limited or Open at a major USPSA match. Yet the Open/LTD shooters choose to do it in USPSA.
I've never used one on my glock but this years nats in particular, found quite a few ESP glocks with magwells.
