    My new stainless SA loaded will be getting an Ed Brown magwell equipped MSH (had to lose the ILS ASAP), and as such I'll need new grips to match up to the "Maxi-Well".

    I know these threads come up all the time, but it's so helpful to see the visuals. At the moment I'm leaning towards the VZ Operators II in "black desert sand" but I'd like to see all the colors installed. They're quite pricey for grips. The Ed Browns are only $40 and certainly look fantasic, but I was maybe thinking something more modern and functional on the stainless gun. Primary use for the pistol is run-hard recreation and I'd like to shoot some single-stack IPSC in the near future; not a safe queen...but she sure is pretty...

    Grips need to be cut to match the magwell, be cut out for the ambi-safe leg, and the cut out for easy reach to the mag release is a huge plus. I like grips with a lot of bite, though I don't like to wear gloves while casually shoot.

    Thanks.

    I wonder how those green ones would look on a SS?

    I'll post some pics of my stainless/hardchromed guns. If you see one that interests you, I'll have to look at them and see if I can remember what it is. Almost all if not all will be Davidson's, VZ or Alumagrip.

    The top one has VZ Operator II's in Black/Gray and the bottom is VZ ETC's in Black Desert Sand.

    Joe = showoff. :supergrin:

    I like Davidson Horned Lizards or Black half-checkered Alumagrips on stainless.

    Yeah, Horned Lizards not only look good, but they feel good too. I bet those half checkered Alumagrips you had on your EB KC would look great on stainless/hardchrome.

    I just put these on my Guncrafter No Name. All I can say is wow!

    They add some girth and grip and I'm sure they'll give me some serious control.

    So I'm thinking now that I want something with the feel and functionality of the VZs with the mag release cut, but the classic look of the cocobolo wood.
    VZs in a wood look pattern?
    Thoughts?

    Cheers.

    These Cocobolo grips would look good on stainless IMO. Larry Davidson can make them without the Wilson logo.

    Yeah, those are nice. Think I can get them with the cut out for the mag release?
