    All,

I tried doing a search on this, but guess I tried looking it up wrong. My question is, which Glocks can be converted to other calibers? I know the 23 can, but which other ones? And for all, do you have to get the right size mags as well?

    Thanks

    From the knowledge I've gathered

G30/G29 - Can swap 29 barrel into 30, swap mags and shoot 10mm out of the 30. Can not do the reverse.

G30/G36 - You can swap slides only

    G23/27:G32/33 - can swap barrels/mags

G19/23/32, can swap slides on all three, 32 barrel can be swapped into the 23 to shoot .357sig (same mags can be used).

I'm not 100% on the above as I have not personally tried this. But, I do plan on getting a 32 barrel for my 23 so I can shoot .357sig.

I'm sure someone with more hands-on experience will chime in soon.

Go to the Lone Wolf website and look up conversion barrels. See which ones are available.

I believe any glock besides 9mm models can be converted to at least one other caliber through barrel and mag swap.

Using conversion barrels a G20 can shoot:
    .40 S&W
    .357 Sig
    9X25 Dillon

.40 can be converted to .357 with just a barrel swap.
.40 can be converted to 9 with a conversion barrel.
10 mm can be converted to .40 with a conversion barrel.
10 mm can be converted to .357 with a conversion barrel.
10 mm can be converted to 9x25 with a conversion barrel.

.40 and .357 use the same magazine.
All others require a magazine appropriate for the caliber.

You don't need to do anything but put in a conversion barrel to go from .40 to 9 mm. The .40 ejector will reliably eject 9mm. The reverse is not true.

One of the reasons to buy a Glock.

32 barrel in a 23 will work but a 29 barrel in a 30 will not. You need to purchase a 10mm conversion barrel for the 30 from lonewolf along with g29 mags.

I disagree, and there are Several on here that have dropped 29 barrels into their G30s, swapped mags, and had NO issues.

See this post and or thread: http://glocktalk.com/forums/showpost.php?p=14613881&postcount=11

Edit: YOu can not however swap a 30 barrel into a 29.

Yes but the OD of the G29 barrel is smaller than the G30. Not to mention an aftermarket barrel has a fully supported chamber which comes in handy if you reload. Also it is cheaper than a factory Glock barrel. To each their own I guess

from what I've read, you can go down in caliber, but not up. how accurate is this?

This may or may not work. When I got my 33 12 years ago they told me that, but the .40 mags would FTF at least once per mag. Maybe the newer followers don't have this problem but the really old ones did.

Dont see much GAP love. Surely the G17/19/26 can convert to the G38/38/39 with a slide, barrel and mag change?

It can't hurt. It's just a pain in the butt to switch the trigger housing back and forth. It's easier to leave all the .40 parts in the lower and just switch barrels or slides when you want to.
