Which generation?

    G19 bought around 2000. May have been old stock.

    Fingergrooves and rail. GK prefix on serial. Which gen?

    Never a bobble or a wobble through 2000+/- rounds!

    If its got finger grooves I think it is Gen 3 or Gen 4.

    Sounds like a 3. (Gen 2.5 finger grooves and Gen 3 Rails.)

    Can you post a pic and what is the letter code of the SN?

    The finger grooves and rails, and your having had it since year 2000 makes it a gen3.

    But....the two letter serial number is too early for a gen3....first guess is that there is a third letter in the prefix.

    Thanks for the kind words, Butch! Your original was my inspiration; I've seen it used quite a bit on many different gun-related forums. It has contributed to the education of untold numbers of new Glockers over the years, and I just wanted to continue the same type of assistance for buyers of the newer models.

    Probably won't be too many more of these images needed, now that Glock is stamping the generation on the slide. :supergrin:
