DO you folks like one caliber over another for a GS?
I shot @ Indy and used my G-37, while my buddy used my G-19.
My brass was a write-off, while his didn't matter...
Thinking about going to Marietta, and just am too darn cheep to
wanna leave much GAP laying on the ground over there...
Thinking of shooting it in 1 class, then the 9mm in the rest of the classes I shoot.
    What do you guys do?
    thanks..
ps. Do NOT read this as a complaint on brass picking rules!

I prefer 9MM myself, not being afflicted with the GAP virus. ;Q If you like shooting one particular gun, just suck it up and use it. In other words, shoot what you shoot the best and don't worry about the brass. :)

    I shoot 9 sillymeter.

I don't roll my own, so cost was a major factor in the decision to shoot 9mm. When I can finally scrape together enough pennies for a Dillon, I'm gonna switch back to .40 S&W.

    I use two different guns, a G17 and a G26.

    I've shot 9mm, .40S&W, .45ACP and .45GAP at GSSF matches and prefer 9mm.

The last couple years I have shot strictly 9mm (G17 & G17L). I started with the Las Vegas Match of shooting my G37 in 2 categories and my G17L in U/L. I amd going to use this same combination through the rest of this schedule which will be Orlando Feb. 05. I do like my G37 with my loads and it is a great help now since Starline and Winchester has new brass available. Starline is the best price of the two and is great brass. It was very difficult when new brass wasn't available and I had to purchase 2 cases of Speer Lawman and shoot it in practice so I had empty brass to reload for matches. I also shot the Indy match with my G37 in AmCiv and Master Stock but would never consider replacing my G17L in U/L.

Fireglock provided sound advise: Shoot what you shoot best.

    I've shot 9x19, 40sw, 45acp, 10mm.

All great rounds but 9mm is the most cost effective so it gets the nod (for me) most of the time.

Like FireGlock said, it's what you are most comfortable with (both shooting performance and leaving brass behind).

    Have fun!

I (try) shoot the .40 because I carry the .40,if I would start from the beginning again I would use the 9mm due to cost and a perceived
    edge for GSSF.;f

Well, I probably shoot the G-19more on GSSF, but I still like the '37 for "carry".
I thought I would shoot the 37 with the Carver and a red-dot on it ALOT in Bulls Eye, but to be honest with you,the Glock Shoots are so much fun, I'm kinda just putting BE on the back burner for now.
Think I'll switch the Carver to the G-19...
Anybody had any experience with a Carver "Hunter" model on a G-19?
I can shoot the'37 in AM Civ, and the Red-dotG19 in the unlimited class??? Maybe pop the mount off and go thru again in some other class.
When I compare the cost of shooting formats...Bullseye, Sass, NMLRA...
    GSSF is a good value!

I started shooting the .40. I figured I could download it to feel like 9mm.

I later switched to 9mm, because that can be loaded even softer. I like the feel of it. And if you want to go with factory ammo, 9mm is always softer feeling than factory .40 ammo.

Predominantly 9mm, however I've shot 10MM in MajorSub, and 45 Glock this year at Indy Am/Civ.

I shoot 9mm best, by FAR.
