Anybody done this? Looks like it would be kind of a neat thing to do.

Where do you get the stamps?

    Thanks all.

There used to be a couple of places that sold the stamps, as well as various "Where's George" memorabilia.

    I'm assuming you've read this:

    http://www.wheresgeorge.com/faq.php

Where it is mentioned they no longer sell the stamps. I believe there are some other websites that sell them, but I'm not sure where they are.

I've done it before. Only one of my dozens of bills entered showed up elsewhere.

I've never stamped any, but I've entered info for a couple.

I realize that the odds are not overly great that you'll actually get a hit, but still might be kind of cool to try.

How far away was the one you entered away from you?

I've entered 258 bills, and only 4 of them have had hits. Some being three or four years later!

    Good lord.

Guess I thought it would be a slightly quicker and more active process for some reason.

That would make it cool.. :)

How many people look at a $1 bill, see the stamp and say "Whatever.." and never bother to enter it or look it up.

Like most things in life, participation is key. :)

Whenever I get a dollar bill stamped with it I immediately enter that I got it from a strip club. I'm hoping that one a day a man and wife are tracking their bills and they see my entry and the wife flips out at the husband for being at a strip club. Long way to go for a laugh that I'll never see or know about, but the thought of it makes me smile from time to time.

I got a hit w/i a month. Then another one a few weeks later. Haven't had any since then, about 3-4 months.

This is the stamp I have.

I got one of the cheaper ones because I figured if I stopped doing it I would feel stupid. I have been slacking off lately. Mostly with the holidays I was really pressed for time. I missed a chance to spend some up in SF during a trip. I really only spend cash at farmer's markets and tips for valets, etc.
