It used to be "where's the beef" , the "where's the gas", now it's "where's the bullets"? What the heck is going on? In New Jersey it's hard to find anything especially 9mm. Are there any suppliers that have ammo and are not price gouging?

At MidwayUSA and Sportsmans Guide you can setup alerts. Their prices seem to be what was once normal. I even setup rules in Outlook to send me a text to my iPhone if and when the alerts arrived. This process just worked on G23 mags that arrived at Midway.

You are about a year late but it is slowly improving again.

It doesn't help that the US Dept. of Homeland Security has bought up over 1 billion rounds of popular caliber handgun ammo over the last year.

Why they're doing this is anyone's guess, but whatever their reason, it doesn't give me a warm & fuzzy feeling.

Supply and demand, give it time and availability will return, this shortage will only last so long.

Manufacturers are cranking ammo out 24/7 so supply WILL catch up, its just a matter of when.

I have a G-19 and currently Blazer Brass is available at the local gun/sportsman store. Two months ago 12-13 dollars
for 50 Blazer Brass. Now it's 19 dollars with a 5 box limit.

    Quite a jump.

I was able to get in line with 2 online resellers this weekend

    CCI® Blazer® Centerfire Pistol 9mm 115 Grain FMJ 50 rounds (Product: WX2-55648) at sportsmansguide.com with a ship date of April 26, $11.39 per box

DESCRIPTION: 9MM LUGER 115 GRAIN LAWMAN TOTAL METAL JACKET 50 ROUNDS at midsouthshooterssupply.com with a ship date of Feb 26, $11.48 per box

I ordered a 1,000 rounds of each. There is actually a standing order here, not just a notification.

Just got back from Waldoville where I was able to get my limit of 3 boxes of WWB 180gr .40FMJ. They had about a case or more of Brass Max in .40 but it was made by Tula and 170gr and wasn't any cheaper than the WWB.

Hey mods, it sure would be nice to get a sticky for Glock caliber ammo availability, like the ones for pistols and magazines.

Wow, that's a great price. I see the 9mm 115 Blazer in brass is only $11.99. Unfortunately, it is available the 12th of never. Nonetheless, thanks for the good info.

Answer is: Have you noticed how many 9 and 40 rounds the Department of Homeland Security has bought lately? Search it and you will get your answer.

I am comfortably stocked. However, I'm reluctant to practice due to the availability to re-stock.

What is most unsettling is the availability of .22. This round has been around for over 100 years. Yet I can't find a box of it, anywhere. Fortunately I have "some". But am reluctant to shoot much of it. What gives?

You can't tell me they've stopped producing it. And the federal government isn't buying it up like they have the .40 (which I prepared for). Why is .22 so hard to find?

Lesson to all - keep one years supply of ammo on hand at all times. It might take a few more months for it to all be over.

You may not agree, but I think this guy makes a good point.

Very very scarce here in Wichita---did you notice Homeland Security is buying another 21,000,000 rounds? Maybe they believe a coup is in the offing.

If anyone is in the North Alabama area, Larry's Pistol and Pawn in Huntsville has all types of ammo. They are limiting the amount you can buy in order to ensure supply though.
