All the alternatives seem pricey. Any suggestions?

Most of the Jersey folks get up early on Saturday or Sunday morning, drive up, shoot the match, and return the same day.

Some CT folks do that too!

I am not sure if I prefer doing all the driving(@180miles) in one day, or staying at my in-laws about 10 minutes away.;)

Harris where in NJ are you? We leave Livingston at 6:30 a.m. and get there at 8:30 a.m.

    Hi
I would like to go to the match in West Hampton, the travel directions are pretty vague at GSSFonline. I heard it's at the Pine Barrens range and to take exit 71 on the LIE.
I'm hoping to make it a family trip out there but I doubt they would want to drive that far out.
Anyway, If there are anyone going there, might if I hitch a ride?
I'll be more than happy to pitch in.
BTW I'm in lower Man, between what was WTC and the Holland tunnel.
    Thanks everyone

huntery we will be going over the GWB at about 7:00 a.m. on Saturday. If you can take a subway that will let you off near the Cross Bronx (don't have my MTA map with me) I'll pick you up. Let us know

There is a Bus/Subway station at the GWB but I don't think it's anyway near the Cross Bronx. It's only a tiny sliver up there.
Thank you for your generous offer.

Check out the subway map, the #4 or 5 may have a station close to the Cross Bronx.

Why can't the match be on a weekday? ;f j/k
I saw the schedule for the LIRR and there is only four trains going out there and the return trip is at seven pm.
I don't even know if it operates on a Saturday, I think the Sunday train is better because they have what's called the Beach train.
On Target, thanks again but I would stick out in the South Bronx like a sore thumb and a Glock ;P
I want to check out the match, change my NY2 trigger and maybe get some night sights.
Good luck to all you shooters

Maybe I'll see you on Sunday.
I'm doing some research to see how far the station to the range is etc. Also, may call in favors for a ride. I think Westhampton is also wine country. Still gonna put in time on the range in case I want to participate.
