Looking at picking up a 34 and I was wondering where to send it to get a trigger job. I don't trust any local smiths due to all the terrifying stories i have heard. Also wanting some new sights put on and maybe front slide serations.

You don't need to send the gun. Buy the trigger and install it yourself – from Vanek, for example. Sights are easy to do yourself. Look at Dawson and Warren.

My S&W revolvers and Sig pistol triggers get professional gunsmith treatment.
    I let a gunsmith fit a Ghost Rocket 3.5 for my G27.
Then I watched a youtube video.
Got the Glock tool with various springs and connectors.
And started swapping them in and out myself.

You've got to love a Glock.

Do it yourself.... IMHO, my 17 has the sweetest trigger and I did it all with parts. I used Zev-Tech's Fulcrum trigger, which blows the stock trigger away in looks as well as feel. Then I installed Zev-Tech's titanium firing pin safety, and their "light" striker spring. Bingo! Go from lousy trigger pull to incredible in less than 1 hour and less than $200
