Hey fellas, I figure some of you would know where to find the killer deals. I am looking to book a trip for the wife and I to hit Vegas in April. Does anyone know what sites have the best deals on airfare and hotel packages? Going to be leaving out of Spokane, Washington, probably stay there a few days.

    Thanks guys.

Southwest vacations has a few offers through Harrahs properties that I just got an email about a few days ago. If you have a players card for any of the major hotels, contact them directly or check their web sites for deals.

priceline has deals. Something else you may want to try is Craigs list.

Some of the casinos have condos on their property. You can rent out a really nice condo for less than you would pay for a hotel. This option works better if you have a few people going but it may be worth looking into. I have a friend that has done it a few times now. He stays at the condos associated with the MGM Grand.

do you want to stay in a hotel or timeshare or condo?

They have a lot of timeshare stuff they are renting out these days.

If you have never been to Vegas, one has to be very careful of the packages. some of the less expensive ones are in downtown which is not a too nice of place to stay.

The best thing to do is price out the hotel and airfare separately and compare it to a package.

I've been there at least 20 times and am going in Feb.

pm or post with any questions.

I have been there several times, was thinking of just finding a deal at a bigger hotel in new vegas, my wife just wants to wander around and look at everything. Maybe take in a show or two. A buddy just got a package deal for five nights with airfare for less than $300 per person, loved it. I am just looking for the killer deals out there, thought maybe you guys would know how to hook up something.

What i have done many times in the past
    1) call Las Vegas convention hotline they will tell you if any major conventions going on the dates of your visit, this could determine what price an availability rooms will be.
    2) i've had good results pricing room an airfare separatly, when dealing with the hotels check their online prices for rooms' as opposed to purchasing rooms at front desk, could be a big differerance in price.
One of the discount airfare org. I prefer to deal with is www. cheaptickets.com, done so for about 5 years now, an will recommend them to anyone. Hope this will be of help.

You can get airfare with hotel through Allegiant. Seems pretty reasonable but it is cheaper if you use their dates to fly to and from.

What hotels do you guys recommend? I haven't been to any others than Caesars and Mandalay Bay. This would be for the wife and her wanting to see things, not gamble. Nice rooms. I am seeing packages for around $700

Don't stay at the luxor if you want a nicer place to stay... at least the floor and room I was on was a little rough around the edges. The Luxor has been around for quite a while and I thought I had rumors that it would soon be torn down to make way for a new hotel.

I went to Vegas for the first time over the summer. I read online to tip the person that checks you in and they will up your room. This worked wonders for me at Caesar's Palace. I bought the cheapest room for 5 nights and slipped the check in clerk a $20 with my ID...he put me in a mini suite in a new tower for the same rate. Suite was over 1000sq ft, had a mini bar, lcd tv, 2 bathrooms, huge dual head shower and a jacuzzi in one of the bathrooms. This was the best spent $20 on my trip.

Also if you have time, take a few hours and go to Bootleg Canyons...they run a shuttle from the Luxor. It is a blast. http://www.bcflightlines.com/

I have been staying at the Coast Casino Resort properties for years. They email me monthly deals on a regular basis. Sometimes free rooms. If you like the low key, mild hotel experience vs the crowds and too many lights, I would reocmmend requesting getting on thier list. Here is your link- www.coastcasinos.com

OP, if you have any values or class, go anywhere in the world rather than Las Vegas. It is the biggest piece of **** on earth. All of it.

You won't like it. There is no place on earth where they try to **** you like Las Vegas. If you think you are getting a "deal" you are delusional.

It is a fun trip if you keep it within your means though. I went for a business trip, saw some free shows, saw Cirque Du Soleil (which I highly recommend) and stayed out of the casinos.

I just got back. If you've never seen it its worth it once. No cheap food anymore. Vegas economy is very bad...10% unemployment in the city. I will have to say everyone was very pleasant and kind.

I stayed at the Riviera. They did a renovation in 2007 and is decent. $64.00 per night convention rate.

As for deals you can get deals on airfare and hotels but anything else...its Vegas...they are there to make MONEY and as much as they can make.

    Another thing,

Don't even THINK about looking at all the pricks on the sidewalk flicking their hooker cards. The streets are littered with those things. :wow:

Yep, just a trip for the wife and I since she has never been there. We don't plan to gamble, just see a few shows, get in some good people watching and take in a little night life. I bet I can keep it within our means, by a longshot.
