Hey all. The title say's it all. I'm thinking of going for a Springfield TRP.
It might be easier to just go to a shop and see if they can get one,but then i have to pay the tax. If i go through say Buds i'll have to go through
the ffl with the shop and pay the 25$ transfer fee. Which way do you guy's mostly go through to get one.

If I was to buy a TRP, then most likely it'll be online. The shipping and transfer fee is less then paying local tax. And if there was an issue, you'll most likely be dealing with SA directly.

I went local on my TRP. it eliminated wait time at the cost of about a 55.00 premium. Couple that with keeping my money local, not hassling with my ffl over a gun they "could" get (and their fee) and it was a no brainer.

    I never buy 1911s online.

100% of them have had hideous cosmetic problems.

I've bought several guns online over the years and several guns locally. TRPs around here used are ~1100ish when they pop up.

Usually buy most guns online... Me and a friend each picked up Brand New SS TRP's for $1000.00 of Gunbroker from local guys...
