When did you last check the air pressure of spare tire?

I'm asking about the spare tire for your car or truck, not the one under your shirt.

I check the spare before a road trip. That is about the only time I do.

I thought about it last week but didn't feel like crawling under my truck at the minute. I've had it for 3.5 years and never checked it other than an occasional kick.

I never check my spare tire until I have to use it.

The last two cars I bought (Sky Redline and a Hyundai Veloster) don't even have spares...they come with an air compressor and a can of Fix-A-Flat. I found out the hard way that this is a completely useless set-up unless you run over nothing larger than a sewing needle... HH

    Indeed.
I don't want to own a vehicle that has no spare, preferably a full-size spare, though the compact spares are far better than nothing.

And, OP, it's a good question.

I check mine and my wife's about once a month - sometimes two. A low donut will make a bad day worse!

I check the truck before every hunting season. The boat spare gets checked more.

I found out the spare was flat one time when I needed it. Fortunately I was only a block away from a conveniece store with an air hose.

I'm checking my spare tire as I'm sitting here at the computer. Unfortunatley, it's still there. HH

Not enough. The last time I needed my spare it was flat also. Thankfully I had one of those cheap 12v compressors in the car.

The last time I needed a spare tire was in 1977. That was about 595,000 miles ago.

a "plug" kit, If you get a hole in the belted area of the tire, plug trim off excess refill with fix a flat or compressor if you have that and you are back on the road YMMV.

tires. It was almost flat so the shop filled it for me and put a little extra in because it most likely will bleed off over the years. Had not checked since purchase in 2003.

I also carry a mushroom gun kit, but the last flat was a sidewall puncture and the tire shredded (cheap OEM Kumhos). Good think Hyundai offeres free towing. HH
