When a shorter person borrows a taller person car, they should slide the seat back!

This should be on the drivers exam!

It's more than a courtesy. A tall person cannot get into the seat if it's pushed up to the wheel, but a shorter person can always get in if the seat is back too far!

This concludes our public service announcement!

Just like I make sure to leave the seat up on a public toilet. So the next SOB doesn't pee on it.

The seat should automatically reset to the full back position. The other seat should automatically revert to the up position. No way anyone should be sitting prior to looking.

My car returns the driver's seat to its preferred position when I get in. Actually, when my key fob gets in.

That is not a trim level I'm willing to pay for, besides that sort of voids my complaint!

The seat is no big deal. But messing with mirrors and steering wheel sets me off

    Technically it's hers.

She totaled her old car. Helped her get a new car, though it's in my name. She doesn't want to pay $178 per month in insurance so I drive hers and she drives my old trailblazer for now.

My 1st wife wife and I had the 'seat-up, seat down' discussion early on in our marriage.

We both decide that the seat AND the cover should both be down. End of argument.

Good thing she never drove a car as she was short and I can imagine trying to sit down after her - but she didn't drive, so that discussion came up - never.

She had other assets - long blonde surfer-chick hair that she could sit on and she loved Pendeltons and jeans.

There's always room for discussion, and that's what makes marriage great - She talks and I capitulate.

Trouble is if I get in the Vette with her fob it trys to kill me by moving the seat up and the steering wheel back. I need to hit the 1 button fast.

I won't ever agree with your other posts, but this one is absolute truth. I am 6'0" and my roommate is 5'2". She rarely drives my car however on the occasion I do having to readjust everything because she "forgot" to move the seat back got old after the second time it happened. Fortunately I am single and the car has memory seating. 1 is set for me, 2 for her. The only thing that leaves needing adjustment is the rear view mirror.

I've done that once. Man it sucked. Not quite as bad as getting woken up by the rumble of an imminent mid night number 2 and splashing down in a bowl with the seat up though. I've also only done that once. I now compromise by trying to aim well, If I don't it's the problem of the person that has to sit next.
