Here's that oft argued case where a vanilla robbery turned into a deadly shooting through bystanders action rather than compliance. And the cops let the shooter go free????...

Unbelieveable... Customer walks in on a robbery, then when the gun is turned on the customer, he takes the gun, shoots the bad guy....

Bad guy stumbles out of the store and dies.

No charges against the customer, even after he steals the robbers gun, AND then, shoots the unarmed robber dead!!!!

Someone is going to have to break this down for me. Either Steve isnt very good at internet sarcasm or I am not following the story correctly.

I think it's the first one. steveksux needs to be locked up in a small room with only access to 4chan or somethingawful until he can get his internet sarcasm under check.

    Correct! :tongueout:

Only thing I would change is the customer should have BYOG so he didn't have to "steal" the robbers...

Although in that situation, even with your own gun, you could argue grabbing the BG's weapon is the only way to avoid getting shot.. not sure you can outdraw a drawn gun, and not sure you could draw and incapacitate him quickly enough even if you flanked him while he's focused on ordering the GF to the ground without him getting a shot off in her direction.

Controlling his gun might be the best option even if you had your own.

I think my sarcasm is fine, you guys need to change the batteries in your sarcasm detectors, every year at DST change is a good practice... Or is that smoke detectors I'm thinking of??

LOL now your back on track Steve. I am curious what kind of moves the customer had to get the gun away from the bad guy. You hear of this happening frequently and of course there are techniques taught but in my untrained mind if I have ahold of a gun I have a pretty good grip on it and it will be difficult to get it away from me. Not to mention if I am holding the gun and someone jumps/grabs for it I am going to be firing bullets in every direction but mine.
