I got this idea from another forum (thanks 10mmFirearms). The concept of a "theatre gun" is a badass gun that you would want to have with you in an unforunate theatre shooting situation.

My choice? A night sighted Glock 20 loaded with 155 grain Gold Dots from Underwood ammunition (1500 feet per second).

Ouch. Remind me not to go to he movies with you!

I love my 29 and 20 too, but I'd worry about possible over penetration in a crowded setting like that. Probably nothing to fret about, and I'm sure I've had and will continue to have my 10mm pistols in a theater. It comes down to what gun I'm carrying that day.

I just now stepped out of the theater with my two daughters. It's 108 degrees here today so I had a much-loved G27 on me with a spare 13 round mag. BTW, we saw Diary of a Wimpy Kid. I almost used that 27 on myself halfway through the movie. Ugh.

On a side note, must be nice to load yourself up with 10mm Gold Dots with the regular public who cannot carry hollowpoints or carry period and is completely defenseless in a police state where it is illegal to be responsible for your own security where the police are only worried about fines, revenue, citations, and arrests.

I guess it'd be my G37 with CT Laser.I think that's one scenario where a laser would definitly be useful.

if your worried about 10mm overpenitrating, run the 135gr nosler hollows from underwood, they go deep enough while causing practically explosive temporary cavity damage.

The odds of being in a mass shooting (let alone in a mass shooting in a theater) is thousands of times smaller than being in all other possible self-defense scenarios. What difference does the scenario make? If you need a gun, you need a gun.

Carry the most gun you can.... always.
