What's your position on 'red' hooks?

    I actually think that the 'bleeding' bait red hooks might actually help a little bit in attracting bass. The ones that I buy at BassPro shop are usually just painted red over brass, and the red quickly wears off. But I think it does help some when they are red.
    What do you guys think?

    same here haven't notice in big difference with or without them

    Red is a favorite color of most fishes.

    Trout and salmon will sometimes hit a bare red hook.

    I don't know about a bass.

    Why is it that they sell red fishing hooks to attract fish, and red fishing line that is less visible underwater? Can't have it both ways, or so it seems to me.
