I loved watching him shoot. He always seemed to genuinely enjoy each and every shot. Even after years and years of doing it day in and day out, every shot he ever did ( in front of the cameras or and audience, at least) seemed like it was just as fun as the first one.

Good man. Sad to see him go. RIP Mr. Knapp.

I could never understand how he kept changing shotgun sponsors, but loved his work. He as 10x the shooter Munden was. Just scary accurate.

I remember seeing a Tom Knapp show at Doc's Hunt Club here in central Iowa. It was back when he was still with Benelli. Very impressive guy who put on a great, family oriented show. It's funny. He did all his trick shots and the thing I remember most is his deep, booming voice. Fantastic showman and a very polished presentation.

I attended his Team Benelli shooting demonstration at Fin, Fur and Feather. The man's skills were loosing their edge five years ago. Even so he was still scary accurate breaking, IIRC 11 airborne clays.

Some guy I used to work and shoot with had the honor of shooting sporting clays with Tommy. He trick shot the whole course and still bested everyone else's score.

He was with Beretta for 20+ years, then got lung cancer and stopped shooting for them when he couldn't make his appearances during treatment. CZ-USA picked him for the last couple of years. Apparently the cancer finally killed him.

Great shooter, great voice. One of the last professional exhibition shooters.

It's on the CZ website http://cz-usa.com/

    RIP Tom.

Life is a fatal condition. As we get older our heros/celebrities die off.

RIP Mr. knapp, thank you for all you did to honorably represent our sport with humor and wisdom. You will be sorely missed. Godspeed.

very sad, he was one of my shooting heros growing up watching him on American shooter. I feel like going out and buying a benelli in his honor(even though he and benelli parted ways a while back)

I saw him a few times at the Buffalo Bill Shoot-Out in Cody, Wy. over the years. Great show, but the sponsorship taggs got very tiresome. "I'm going to load my Benneli with Federal and shoot White Flyers as they try to avoid my Benneli loaded with Federal while shooting at the White Flyers. If the White Flyers get hit by the Federal being shot by my Benneli it's because Benneli makes the best shotgun to shoot White Flyers with Federal." It detracted from everything except his his wizzardry. RIP, Sir... HH
