saw this glock on the classifieds here locally where I live! I'm in the hunt for a OD glock to go with my FDE! What is up with this frame? Is it a really bad engraving on this frame or what?

For $450, it's a shame that he ruined it like that. $450 is a steal around here... But yeah, I would pass.

Is it the OD version? Or are you thinking the FDE version?

He butchers a gun and then tries to sell it?:steamed:

I'd give him 25 dollars for it.

I've seen a few soldering iron stipple jobs already, and I'm a Glock fng...
They tend to get comments like, "Dude, that's SICK!", for some reason...
    I just don't get it.
Looks like somebody was trying to do a snakeskin finish... And finished the gun.
Too bad. I'd give him 30. Sorry, JB.

I like my Glock just the way they made it.
    It's neato! :D

Though I'm not a fan of it in general, I've seen a couple of really nice stipple jobs.

But sadly, 90% of them turn out like this poor abortion.

I'm not sure that's the true color of the plastic, I've never seen OD or FDE appear that dark in a picture. The muzzle end looks a little black, if it were powder residue it'd have a tinge of gray with it. Some of the spots in the stippling and the Glock logo have traces of black showing through, common with an aftermarket frame coating.

Maybe you can try fixing that bad stipple job and turn it into a good one. Try contacting Lane at Cold Bore Customs, maybe he can fix it or you might wanna put some rubber grips on it or grip tape.
