What's the smallest .45 you own that has worked reliably for you?

I find myself carrying my Kahr stainless MK9 instead of my .40 cal Glock 27 because the slimmer profile of the Kahr wins me over. Both are 100% reliable. But, for the extra stopping power of a .45 I can settle for a bigger framed gun.

EDIT; I just can't understand why NONE of the the big players would offer a 2 finger grip C&S style 1911 like THIS for under $3,300!!
[IMG] I don't think it would take a marketing genious to recognize a consumer demand for it.

Kimber Classic Custom 5" purchased in 1998. Was so reliable I had it built up by Novak's as my main carry pistol for my retirement. It's been my constant companion for 10 years now and has never let me down.

i dont carry or own anything less than full size. proper gun belt and holster variety plus dressing appropriately for carry expands my choices, not limit them.

I've never had any issues with either of my Kimber Ultra sized guns (stainless Ultra Raptor and stainless Ultra Carry II) or my RIA 3.5". Of course my G30 has been 100% as well. My Kimber Ultra Carry II that was worked over by Chuck Rogers is my most accurate. One of my best 50 yard groups ever came from that little babydoll.

HK USPC45. Feeds everything under the sun, drives tight groups...a bit big though.

The 1991A1 Compact...I haven't shot enough hollowpoints through it to be convinced yet.

A touchy subject to be sure. My wife and I each have a Taurus, hers is an older Millenium and I have the Pro 24/7 compact, that have never failed with the exception of not liking CCI aluminum cases. Yes I said reliable Tauri.

My Kimber compact has never failed, and I would like to get another 100 flawless rounds throught the wife's Kimber Ultra Raptor II before I brag about it. I never thought a 1911 reduced that much would actually work and I told my wife as much when she brought it home. So far she is laughing well.

I hear good things about the Bond Arms Deringers. Can't get much smaller than that.
