I've been thinking of swapping my 1066 for another 10 with higher capacity (and cheaper mags) and was wondering what they go for on the current market. It's an ex-cop gun, well worn Hogue grips, it's been carried a good bit, and has holster wear, plus normal scratches, it's worked fine for what little I've shot it

As always, what someones willing to pay for it. That said I put the value around 450-500 bucks.

they are priced all over the board. I'd do 550-600, personally, since they are less common than the 1006, and they go for 550 in good shape.

Have someone beadblast it and it'll look like brand new again. You're most likely looking at either the G20 or the Tanfoglio witness if you're determined to get a double column design. Personally, I'd keep the Smith.

I would dress out the Smith and definitely keep it. I would love to have it to go with my Delta Elite. :wavey:

I actually wouldn't mind keeping the smith, I like the gun, my only problem with the design is the bobbed hammer, which can be fixed, but a new hammer is pretty expensive. I don't even mind the capacity that much, it's just that new mags are $30 or $40.
