We always have a small family get together. I have been roped into somking a turkey, I spoiled them at thanks giving. Im going to try something new this go round. I smoked them in hickory before after they sat in a brine over night. I just got a new smoker so im going to expierment a bit. I heard apple wood tasted great on turkey and chicken, so im going to try apple wood this time. rub the turkey in olive oil and put this on it. The smoker has a water bowl that im going to put apple juice into. Still havnt decided if im going to brine. I think im going to go without this time and see how it turns out because of the waterbowl. Next time im gonna try cherry wood I think. I will try to post pictures as I go along.
