I bought Levi's Silvertabs that were made of thick cloth and wore well.

Recently I bought Levi's Silvertabs that are made of much thinner cloth and don't wear so well.

What jeans do you guys wear?

If you want a solid pair of jeans like the old days I suggest you get a pair of Dickies.

You probably won't be the 'cool kid' but I personally have never seen a pair wear out.

Personally I wear carhartt, cinch or walmart wranglers. The cinch's are my favorite. I also have a couple pairs of levi's.

Levi Strauss has a long and well known anti-gun bias.

Yeah they have a right to their opinion, but I have a right to not buy any of their products and wish them ill-will.

Interesting topic, I am forever a Levi's guy. I have some really old ones like from HS in the early 80's w/the red sticking inside instead of the yellow. I found this out by watching Storage Wars btw...apparently mine are worth some decent $$$

Last weekend took the family out on the Airboat into the EverGlades Nat'l park for some shooting. After wards we swung by the Saw Grass Mills Mall here in Miami. This place is huge and Internationally known.

Lots of insanely hot South Amer/Latin babes/Columbian babes. Anyway I have a 16 y/o daughter that wanted these brand jeans called "True Religion". They had an outlet store there so the wife and her went while me and my teen soon his the Tommy Bahama store. I get a text alert on my phone from the bank for $370 something I was like WTF. SO we hook up later and she got TWO pairs of jeans..TWO !!! there were on sale as this was an outlet store. They normally go for $230 a piece ..YIKES I asked what the big deal was about them , as they had bleach spots and holes on them already..she said they are 100% American made and assembled here.

If this is true we are in trouble, if the US has to charge that much for jeans to cover Union scale jobs then we are f'ed. Then the wife hit the Coach store FML..all I can say is the 100% Spouse Tax on thos items will be pd at the LGS

Cost and price have little to do with each other, when it comes to retail sales.

Levis never quite fit me right. I had big legs.
About 20 years ago, I got a pair of Tommy Hilfiger jeans as a present. Man, those were the best jeans ever!
I went so far as to buy a bunch of these jeans, and wore them all the time, until well into the 2000's(maybe '05/'06).
When I finally wore out my last pair, I went back to a TH store. Well, I got a shock. Not only did they not make those jeans any longer, but apparently they had gone completely gay(not that there's anything wrong with that, but I ain't wearing it)!!! Plus, the quality was way differnent.
It left me a little embarassed not knowing just how long they had "changed" their image.

Ever since I got married, I still wear the shirts anyway 'cause them was sure some good quality shirts back in the day. I still have some. Of course, a 40 yo wearing what used to be hip clothes really doesnt turn anyone's attention!!

So, long story short. Get over it and move on! At least you dont have to explain that you are NOT gay!(knowing this place, I just know its coming!!):tongueout:

Levis wants me to lose my gun rights. I want them to go out of business. I started buying Carhartts exclusively, about three years ago.

Wranglers, but I mean to try C.E. Schmidt, from Tractor Supply. I have a Schmidt shirt and some belts and I really like the quality of them.

Levis are imported, overpriced and anti-gun, so I'm sticking to plain old "imported."

Leave it to Levis to make buying traditional levis gayer than buying designer jeans with bedazzled flowers. $178? That's 10 pairs of Wrangler jeans.
