I am looking to get a new carry weapon and I am torn. I can get a G26 for $415 with its factory equipment or I can get a G33 for $460 with factory equipment, night sights, extra mag and pierce extensions on all three mags. I used to own a G32 and loved it. What would you do? I can only pick one.

To me its a personal thing. Do you want to stay with the same caliber? Do you like one more than the other? Go with what you feel is right. Either one is fine. The 26 is cheaper tp shoot but like I stated above - may want to stay with one caliber.

Like has already been stated, the 26 sounds like a great deal and will be much cheaper to shoot/train with. I like the .357 Sig round. But, for some the recoil in the 33 can be a little much in that round. Can you shoot it first?

In the end, it's going to be your gun, so the decision has to be yours. Good luck. Let us know what you decide.

With the G33 you can get a .40 barrel and 9mm conversion barrel no? That would be my choice for versatility. I dig Glock night sights too.

If you can afford to get a 9mm barrel in the future the G33 is an excellent choice, especially if you like the .357 Sig round.

That way you could have the best of both worlds for practice and carry.

I agree with the others. The G33 will give you the most options for caliber with conversion barrels.

I will tell you that I had a G33 first, and liked it so much with the 40-9 LWD barrel that I went out and got a G26 Gen4. No issues with that 9x19, either. It is one of the easiest to shoot very accurately.

I cant shoot it before I buy it. The G33 also has 3.5lb ghost trigger. It was just cleaned and checked over by a buddy so I know its good. My only draw back with the G26 is the power. I have seen the damage the .357sig does to a person first hand.

Sounds like you want the 33 and you're looking for us to give you reasons to justify the extra cost.

Just get the 33 that what you really want.

Boy I have to tip toe here but if you can control the '33, then it's a good thing. I know all calibers are equal. I know it's all about shot placement but...............I also like carrying the most powerful round one can control.

I must ask you: If you loved the '32 then why did you not go back to it?

    Good for you!

Now, when a poster starts a thread and asks, "If he should get the model x or the model 33?'' we will hold off posting a reply and let you go first.

What are you going to tell him?

I am too fat to use the 32 for my ccw comforably. I found that i shoot better with the G33. The only thing is it caused discomfort in the palm of my hand. Guess I have to grab a houge grip for it.

I would tell them to go with their gut feeling. The 33 isnt for everybody but once you go that route its hard to go any other way.
