Sounds like the G36 would do nicely in this case.

If she like the 1911, a compact 1911 in 9mm would be a great idea. Something like an Officer's ACP or smaller in 9mm, or even a Colt Gov't .380 would do.

STI makes a very spiffy compact 9mm that is slimmer than a standard 1911 too.

    What about a CZ-P01?

First off, what are her considerations and criteria for selecting a gun for carry? How is she going to carry and conceal it? What caliber and trigger action type is she most comfortable with?

Even if it's wrestled from her, the ***** would likely take five minutes in figuring out how to off-safe the blaster. That's just one of its many features.

We bought my wife the Springfield XD-9 subcompact just yesterday. She likes it more than the G26 and way more than several other guns she fired. She says it just fits her hand "naturally" and is very excited about it. We got it NIB for $399.

carry method is thru handbag. criteria non specific, di ko rin maintindihan, what she wants is a defensive gun since shes driving alone to and from work.

maybe we will consider the cz po1 if its already available or a compact sti if the budget permits.

how about BOGs wife(s) or gf's (he .he.he. )what piece do they love to carry? pls. keep those post comi'n. thanx gentlemen

IIRC, the CZ P-01 is already available at PB Dionisio. I think the capacity is 14+1.

I haven't been there for a few months, so I don't know if they already have the CZ RAMI in stock.

If your wife is going to use handbag carry, perhaps she should consider getting one of those special handbags with a dedicated compartment for the pistol, since it would be most difficult to fish for a pistol in the middle of a life-threatening encounter. Also, the separate compartment helps make sure that the pistol doesn't have a negligent discharge due to getting snagged on the other "stuff" usually found in women's bags.

    Ay, your question nga pala
stainless 38 revolver, length of barrel depends on her purse, preferably 4 inches
Sure, maganda auto , pero unless she's gonna spend some major range time , forget about automatics

Do your wife a favor and buy the handbag for her. Here's one of the few sources to consider: www.coronadoleather.com

I think the PO-1 goes for P45,000 now. During the gun show it's pegged at P 35,000. I believe it uses the same magazine as the CZ75 compacts (13+1?) but of course it will accept the Cz75/85 regular mags.

Better yet, bagito, why don't you two join the BoGs in their next funshoot so your wife can try other a larger assortment of handguns, from 1911s to Berettas to CZs :)
