    What was your favorite song back when you were in middle school, or high school.

    I just ran across this song on facebook, I still know every word to it just like I did 25 years ago.

    Digital Undergound "Humpty Dance"

    When they were teaching us white kids how to keep rhythm, we clapped to this song;

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aB_TM5AvJP0"]Jim Croce - Bad Bad Leroy Brown (Live) [remastered 16:9] - YouTube[/ame]

    It had 'Damn' in the song, fighting, and a .32 Gun. It was cool as ****.

    Sinead O'Conner's Nothing Compares to You.I don't know why. I was just ten or eleven when it came out,so I couldn't relate.
    Actually my cousin has a recording of me singing Johnny Lee's "Looking for Love" when I was four.
    I guess I was born a hopeless romantic.

    You got me on that one, but the other thing I remember are the bell-bottom pants.

    ETA: Corduroy bell-bottoms to be specific.

    In Middle School?

    The popular music was probably something stupid like Information Society "whats on your mind"

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPuXvpkOLmM"]INFORMATION SOCIETY - WHAT'S ON YOUR MIND - YouTube[/ame]

    But I was groving to something like this

    Metallica - "Fight Fire with Fire"

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjlgUx7_aN0"]Metallica - Fight Fire with Fire - YouTube[/ame]

    In High School, more of the same!

    Pantera - Mouth For War

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9D7VWEWKYr0&feature=fvwrel"]Pantera - Mouth For War - YouTube[/ame]

    Long live METAL!

    So many great songs in the '60s it's hard to pick a favorite. I was in the 8th grade in 1966 and a few from then I really liked were:

    [ame]http://youtu.be/2fLn9Z1G_LE[/ame]

    [ame]http://youtu.be/Xs7FEZpssxs[/ame]

    [ame]http://youtu.be/WQsu9_IOFhM[/ame]

    I graduated from high school in 1971 and was listening to:

    [ame]http://youtu.be/uSquiIVLhrQ[/ame]

    [ame]http://youtu.be/34p5Rza7S08[/ame]

    [ame]http://youtu.be/mNrsQniimFw[/ame]

    [ame]http://youtu.be/csb93HfyHak[/ame]

    among others but that's probably enough.
