I was Commo the entire time. Combat Comm for 9 years and JCSS for 12 years.

The first was 306x2 Teletype Maintenance which was merged with crypto about the time (the 128 TTY and 129 TTY) I transitioned into a guard position and got 2E2X1E Computer and Digital Switching Maintenance which was later merged with crypto. I worked in the TYC17, 39 Switch, and 111 vans during this time.

I was a 2E271 Master Sergent when changes in the manning doc forced me to retrain to 2E171 SatCom and Ground Radio Maintenance (TRC170 and MC) where I retired after 21 years of total service in late 2004.

Hello to my fellow AGE Rangers!

Left Chanute AFB as a 42335, then the AFSC was changed to 454x1.

Zweibrucken AB, FRG and Minot AFB, with several TDYs in between. '88 - '92.

Out with you Army guys! This is a USAF thread for cryin' out loud! :D

For what it's worth, I was the AF equivalent of a 98J, which is why I recognized the MOS, not AFSC, you posted. 98J's are now 35S's from what I understand from talking to some of the Soldiers at work who serve in the field.
