Have a Rock River SBR with an 11.5" barrel. What piston system would be best for this and I assume some free float tubes will still work with it?

Why do you think you need a piston?

Short barreled AR = Gas in the face, worse with a can attached. Solutions = Gasbuster ch or gas piston conversion.

In my research, this one is the best compromise between cost and function: http://www.adamsarms.net/

You still get a load of gas in the face with a piston system suppressed, not as bad as DI but you still have back-pressure that the can creates

Awesome for function and simplicity, just hang on a AR stock and engrave, worst possible platform to suppress as an SBR,, LOUD! :wow:
By far, an LWRC M6-A3 is one of the best platforms in a SBR if your going to suppress it IMHO

Nope, they created a switchblock to solve the gas issue. Which is why the poster wanted to go to a piston gun.

I knew about the switchblock, I thought the OP was asking about piston systems.

its what I did. works WONDERS

it also makes it a bit quieter as less gas comes blowing out the ejection port.

Are you saying Noveske is building piston guns? Or did you build a custom with Noveske comnponents?

I've beer running a LMT 12.5 Piston with a YHM Phantom. My only complaint is that it's a little front heavy.
