    Hello,

I have an opportunity to buy a used Glock 23 for $400, with one post ban mag.

Is there anything I should be on the lookout for in terms of wear etc?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

At that price, who cares, Just get it! If there are any safety upgrades, you can call Glock, give them the Serial Number, and they'll advise you if it needs upgrades, and do it for free. That would probably be your only concern. Inside of the slide will have "peening", this is no big deal, and perfectly normal. It will stop after a while. Do a search here, and you'll find plenty of pics of what it looks like. Is it a 1st(no f/g or accessory rails), 2nd(rails, no finger grooves) or 3rd gen(has both) receiver

If the gun(by some unique set of circumstance) has some other problem, extractor problem, firing ping, springs, whatever, just send it back to Glock, they'll fix it.

A used G23 for $250 ? Wow, I used to see great deals on factory refurbished pistols here, but it has been a looooooonnggg time.....

Seriously, I wouldn't hesitate to check out a used Glock. Maintenance is very simple and fixits are easy.

    Great pistols....;c

    Thanks for the info.

It seems the pistol that is for sale is a 2nd gen.

If anyone knows where I can get a G23 for $250, let me know.

    Thanks again.

At that price, and with only one mag, I would hope it has night sights.

Nope, no night sights. One 10rd mag.

It looks to be in great shape.

I misread the original post, thought it was a PRE ban mag.. Makes a little difference in the price. 250 for a used Glock? Yeah right. If that was all they wanted, they'd probably sell to a dealer.
