Where do you put your helmet when you park your bike? When I ride to work it's a secure parking lot so I don't mind leaving it on the bike. But in a public place??? My bike has a helmet lock on it but the thing rests on the exhaust. I hate carrying the dang thing into everyplace I go, but I'd hate to come back out and have the thing gone.
Also in May I'm bringing the bike on a roadtrip and have to stay in a motel for a few nights. I'm not worried about the helmet then, I'm worried about my bike! I'd hate to wake up in the morning and see my bike has been carried away. Any suggestions? I guess if it's a ground level room I can pull it in:supergrin:

When the safety fascists in New York forced me to wear a helmet, I used a Kryptonite horseshoe lock through the rear wheel/swingarm and threaded it through a 9/16" hole I drilled through the shell. It did have a funny whistle at highway speeds, though. HH

For helmet lock try a lock with a small hasp the fits over your clutch or brake lever but will not fit ovr the nub at the end of the lever. You can hang the helmet off the handlebars or mirror.

Used to lock the helmet to the bike with the factory clip. One day I came out of a movie and when I approach the bike a bird flew out! I do not mind animals, but now I carry my helmet with me when I leave the bike.

My bike has the factory helmet lock. I usually don't use it. Most of the time, I just carry my helmet with me.

I always carry mine with me...as already said, it'll make a great club if necessary. I've seen too many straps cut and d-rings left hanging to leave it on the stock helmet lock. When going somewhere I know I don't want to carry it, I use a cable lock thru the eyeport. I only wear full face helmets...

No saddlebags on an EX250! Looks like I will just keep bringing it in with me for the most part. I do have a cable lock I can keep under my seat for the times I need to leave it on the bike I guess.
    Thanks all.

Put on a Yoshimura single-exhaust modification. That single exhaust will be on the right side and you can thus use your helmet lock on the left side.

I'd never leave my helmet on the bike.
Too many clowns think it's funny to pour a beer/soda/water/piss etc. into your helmet.
