Every Glock I've seen had the top of the barrel hood flush with the top of the slide. The hood in your pic looks angled (not parallel) compared to the slide lines.

Have you shot it?

Edited to add: the second part of my statement may be an illusion, but I've still never seen a Glock where the top of the hood wasn't flush (or almost flush).

You guys crack me up. If it takes that for the gun to shoot straight, I'll crush every Glock I own and go back to Taurus. Hell, they already have built the best speed shooting polymer on the planet. Some BS like this sight alignment would take it over the top. You amateurs go off all you want...just straighten it....what a bunch of hokus pokus. That's totally unacceptable. On the other hand, how do we know someone didn't tamper to troll?

I hope Karma doesn't become the fickle ***** she can be.

eta - if I'm wrong, I hope you blokes are in a forgiving mood. The planets are out of alignment, or something. I'm angry. Ah!!................

At least the slide finish isn't coming off yet. The finish started pealing off mine after the first 100 rounds. That gun is history. I am not going to pay for a flawed Gen 5. I love my Gen4 17 and 21. The Gen 5 finish will not last long. HK is much better by far. It is all a marketing ploy for Glock loyalists like I used to be.

Glocks suck! The plastic sights aren’t straight! The finish doesn’t stay perfect after shooting! I bet if I carried that gun on duty in the rain and dirt it wouldn’t stay pristine and unblemished! I should just give up and go buy a Sig. heck, even a Taurus PT model would probably be better than a Glock.

Well, I ain't gonna bad mouth something I do not know. I carry a fully loaded G41 when I kayak in the gulf (full blown adrenaline junkie hitting the waves). Got it in a holster epoxied to the top of the inside of the coaming. I've been spit out of the thing a few times, in the gulf salt water, and the gun still looks great. I do have a spot on the barrel hood that started to rust, but I make sure to clean that area, well, after we go out.

Given that the peeling finish post is the users first post on the forum, I am going to wait for some credibility to build...

prob moved during shipping.. my guess is it could be pushed back by hand
I switched to some GLOCK steel sights on my '88 GLOCK. No way the plastic coming out, or the steel going in could be pushed by hand. It took some work to get those moved where they needed to be. My '12 GLOCK's sights seem similarly ensconced.
